2026 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

FOR CLIENTS TRAVELING TO IRELAND -

At this time, there are NO additional requirements to travel to Ireland for 2026. US or Canadian Citizens will need a valid passport to travel to Ireland.

WHAT IS ETIAS? ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) is an electronic travel authorization for non-EU travelers who currently do not need a visa to enter European countries in the Schengen Zone.

ETIAS planned to be rolled out at the end of 2026 for EU countries in the Schengen area only. This does not apply to Ireland.

At this time, ETIAS  is for the Schengen Area only. Ireland is a EU member but  NOT a part of the Schengen zone. 

The Shengen countries are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden. Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.
