A Lifelong Love Affair with the Land of the Horse
My connection to Ireland and the equestrian world is woven into my history. My mother immigrated from Ireland to the United States in the 1960s, and I made my very first journey "across the pond" when I was just nine months old. Long considering Ireland my second home, I developed a deep, lifelong passion for the untamed beauty of the island, the rich heritage of its horses, and the unmatched warmth of its people. Twelve years ago, I set out to build a company that embodied those exact elements.
I believe that the best way to experience the true soul of the Emerald Isle is from the best seat in the house—the back of a horse. Riding allows you to absorb the raw sights, sounds, and scents of the landscape that are completely lost through the window of a tour bus or car. More importantly, it invites you into the heart of rural communities, where you spend quality time with multi-generational local families who are genuinely passionate about sharing their traditions and regional stories.

While our operations have grown significantly over the last decade, I have intentionally kept our service deeply personal, highly responsive, and completely free of pretension. When you plan a trip with Ireland Equestrian Tours, you aren't dealing with automated systems or “Buy Now” buttons. You have direct access to a dedicated expert who is personally invested in your itinerary, your comfort, and your safety.
When I am not working directly with our clients or vetting new experiences in Ireland, you can find me right where you’d expect: in the barn spending time with my own Connemara ponies, or hiking the trails of Upstate New York with my husband and our rescue pups.
I look forward to welcoming you into our community, and helping you create the horse adventure of a lifetime.
Sláinte,
Laura Lamb
